oh is it raining or what?

Got a call from a contractor regarding building insulated beveled doors last week and quoted. Got the ok to draw up the design- a combination of sidelight and large oval design ripped off from a catalog shown the customer because that company doesn't do them in the required size for the job. So instead of taking time over the weekend, did it today and delivered it. Now have to come up with $2,700 for a real bevel machine instead of this dinky 6" flat diamond wheel and sandpaper 'laps'. Now that Si has thrown his weight around (he is on good terms with them actually)and ordered this machine, he's sweating that I do get the job! He thinks he want to cancel it already. The company is moving heaven and earth to get it here in 7 days instead of the normal 6 weeks from Colorado. If you don't get the job, what do I pay the mortgage with-we're stuck with this machine - he says. I positively hate living under that kind of pressure with these remarks. I'll close up my stock account and pay for the friggin thing myself then.

Did I mention that I have only 6 weeks to do this in? 6 weeks to fix the mahogany beveled door (that's been here 1 week already), 1 week to finish 2 more panels for the Myakka City job (that'll be 12 folks!) and only about 4 weeks to do Aurora's 2 major beveled door panels as well. There's no time separation...it's all concurrent too. So we'll see how I can handle doing 3 difficult jobs straight through the next 6 weeks. Then swing into two lampshades and try to get something made up for the gallery exhibition on LongNose...er Longboat Key at the end of October. I'm looking forward to that nervous breakdown I think I'll have about mid September.

Got some notes from 621. We're planning what positions we'd like to try this Christmas on my one day out a year. He says to plan on getting something for Si that will take lots of time this year.
Almost one week down and two to go. Told him I'll be needing his visits to help keep me going the second part of the 6 weeks when he gets back.
